Yesterday's advent activity was "Make warm hot cocoa and share it with a friend". In the event of the theme we invited our new friend Tara for dinner!
Yasmine and Alan had dinner plans with Uncle Gerry, so last night was an all girls night in!
Tara is new to Toronto and arrived from London England just over 2 months ago. We missed her birthday so we surprised her with a birthday ice-cream tub! Ava helped blow out the candle.
~I think she enjoyed blowing the candle more than the ice-cream!
Tara is such a sweet heart and we're so happy to have a new friend in her. I hope her 1yr stay in Toronto will be filled with fun and unforgettable memories!
The night was filled with food and chatter from the moment Tara arrived until it was time to say good-bye. Our tummies were filled with ice cream and lasagna!...and although Ava wasn't feeling her best (molars are coming in) she was still smiley and spunky, even after an "all over mommy" throw up and slight fever!
We ended the night with hot chocolate topped with marshmallows! Tara brought us some cookies which complimented the nights theme perfectly*
Can't wait to find out what today's activity is!
